Chris Brown is off hook in his misdemeanor hit-and-run case.
A California judge has dismissed the charge against the singer, saying a "civil compromise" has been reached between Brown and the victim.
The charge stemmed from a May incident in which Brown reportedly struck another car with his vehicle in Toluca Lake. He was accused of leaving the scene without exchanging information.
The victim reportedly did not want Chris to be prosecuted, nor did she want any money because the damage was so minor. The Los Angeles City Attorney tried to move the case forward, despite the victims objection, but the judge dismissed the case Thursday.
Brown was booked at the Van Nuys Jail last week on one misdemeanor hit-and-run charge. He was released on his own recognizance shortly after, without having to post bail.
